Price Fluctuation

You'd think that this might be some sort of allegory on the current economic situation, but it's not.

Get off my lawn

  • Reading: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
  • Watching: A Beautiful Mind
Hey. So, despite the fact that Jay has yet to give me my microphone back (communist) I just finished the preloader for the cartoon, albeit sans audio. So, that's going pretty well, nothing much to report.
There is a bit more, however, to report movie-wise. Apparently conducting some "Movies that Start With a G" film festival, I watched both GoodFellas and Gran Torino. Here is my report:
GoodFellas goes first, I guess. I liked it a lot, it was a pretty great genre pic/biography, and had some great writing, cinematography, and acting.
So yeah.
Gran Torino, I also liked a lot, surprisingly. The high point of it was obviously Eastwood's performance, which was great. It's strange how, despite the fact that he's around eighty billion years old now, he can still come off as kind of a badass. Anyway, the other high point would probably be the writing, which gets the tone just right, and is actually pretty impressive, without seeming overwritten (my favorite: Eastwood's character, when asked what it's like to kill a man, replies "You don't want to know.") So, yeah, it certainly wasn't the best film of the year, but it is enjoyable, and very watchable. :D
So, yeah, that's about it.
And get the HELL of my lawn!

PS: I would've quoted a movie or something here, but I couldn't think of any quotes that applied. :P

Haha. I can't think of any at the moment either. Sometimes I hear just a certain word and it makes me think of a movie quote
